Labor Tab Screen

Use this screen to view or change labor and material rates.

Description of fields on the screen

Field Label	Description
Rate Table	The rate table name is displayed in this field. This field cannot be edited.
Estimate	This droplist lists the estimates in the workfile currently selected. This list is displayed only if you enter the Rates tab through a workfile. Select the estimate you want to work with.
Add Charge Category	This option is enabled when you select the rate table from within a workfile. Select this button to create a new charge category for the rate table of the estimate you are working on. This button is available only if you have not already created four charge categories, and the estimate is not locked.
Apply Rates Retroactively	This option is enabled only if you entered the rate table through a workfile, and you have selected a preliminary supplement from the Estimate droplist. Select this button after you change a rate to make the change apply to all lines of all other estimates and supplements in the workfile.
Code	This is the charge category code for the labor types. The code is displayed in the estimate lines.
Category	This is the code description of the charge category.
Locked $	This displays the rates that were in effect at the time the estimate was locked.
Current $`	This displays the rates being used in the current estimate.
(tax type selection columns)	The taxes that will be applied to the different charge categories. There is a column for each tax type. If you entered the rate table through a workfile that does not contain any locked estimates, you can change the taxes to be applied by checking the appropriate boxes.
